Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was established at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 12, 1922. It has the distinction of being the only NPHC member sorority which was not founded on a historically black campus and was established by young professional educators.
Sigma Gamma Rho maintains a connection to women through all stages of life and varying levels of education.They include:
Philo Affiliate- Its purpose is to embrace the talents of women without post-secondary degrees who share the same passion and commitment to youth, education and community service.
Rhoer Club- Its purpose is to fulfill our commitment to young ladies by providing direction, guidance and resources during their developmental years.
